How
old were you when you started smoking?
I was a wee lass of 10 years old
Smoking
Turn-ons:
SENSORY:
The sound, smell and flash of the paper when
the initial flame catches as you light up; ZEN:
Watching the beautiful iridescent-purple smoke
hypnotically swirl in a sunbeam or spotlight;
Aesthetics: Long elegant or stately styled cigarettes,
ladies cigars all turn me on. Tools of the trade:
Classic, classy smoking paraphernalia, baby.
Art deco and silver styled cigarette holders,
flint n’ wick lighters, unique cases,
snuffing blocks, tabletop dispensers, especially
mechanical ones! – You get the idea. ASHES,
ASHES: I adore old smoking stands – I
have my grandfathers that stood by his armchair
always, and ornate or unique lead crystal ashtrays.
And of course, that cigarette right after…well,
you know.
Smoking
Turnoffs:
I
am particular about filters! I can’t stand
soggy filters – must be dry; The smell
when a filter is lit or smoked; Clashing pipe
or cigar tobaccos (smoke scent or flavor); loosely
packed cigarettes and the stench of stale smoke.
Full ashtrays – OH! And the worst is trash/gum/food
in the ashtray. Although I do love the smell
of them, unfortunately, clove cigarettes (I
am allergic to cloves in all forms, not just
when smoked) so none for me, sigh……
Other
brands you smoke or have smoked in the past?
Camel would be my alternate, Special Light 99’s.
But I am constantly trying other brands and
types, especially the rash of flavored smoky-treats
that have hit the market lately.
Ever
smoke Cigars or Pipes?
I smoke cigars when the mood or am enticed by
another smokers heavenly smoke wafting by. I’ve
tried a pipe twice, very aesthetically pleasing.
I also enjoy the pure flavor and ritual of a
Hookah pipe on occasion.
If
you could smoke any thing, anywhere with anyone
what, where and who
would it be with?
An indeterminate number of hand-rolled cigarettes
using artesian-blended tobacco and a bottle
of Louis XIV Cognac in a quiet, hole-in the-wall,
fire-lit tavern with E.A. Poe
Did
your Mother or Father smoke?
Yes both, and my grandparents, but none do anymore.
What
is the most amount that you have ever smoked?
7+ packs between 2 of us on a road trip to San
Francisco in the middle of the night!
Have
you ever quit, if so how many times?
I have quit, every time I put one out…ha-ha
he-he…ahem. Seriously? I quit for a couple
of years in my teens when I was dancing ballet
hardcore 7 days a week, and for a few months
here or there throughout my smoking life. Never
kept track of how many times though. Hmmm, I
wonder.
